To George Mannering Montford, Master of Steamship Cor............ to the Chief Magistrate of Police at Hongkong or other Officer of His Majesty's there lawfully acting as such.

WHEREAS on the 14th day of January, 1903, Jules Marie Sandrais was duly convicted before His Britannic Majesty's Court at Hankow for forging and uttering a certain cheque. AND WHEREAS the said Jules Marie Sandrais for the said offence was duly sentenced to one year's imprisonment with hard labour and was required to give security for his future good behaviour, or on failure to give such security to be deported. AND WHEREAS the said Jules Marie Sandrais has failed to give such security to the satisfaction of the Court and has declared his inability to give such security. NOW, I, Sir Hiram Shaw Wilkinson, Knight, Chief Justice of His Britannic Majesty's Court for China and Corea by virtue of the power vested in me by Articles 106 to 112 of the Order in Council 1865 do direct that the said Jules Marie Sandrais be deported to His Majesty's Colony of Hongkong.

This is therefore to require you the Keeper of His Majesty's Gaol at Shanghai to deliver up the said Jules Marie Sandrais to the said James Smith and you the said James Smith him safely to convey to Hongkong. And you the said George Mannering Montford to take the said Jules Marie Sandrais conducted in custody as aforesaid and him safely to convey to Hongkong. And further to require you the said James Smith on your arrival with the said Jules Marie Sandrais at Hongkong to there deliver him over into the custody of the Chief Magistrate of Police or other Officers of His Majesty acting as such together with this Warrant. And you the Chief Magistrate of Police are hereby required in His Majesty's name to receive and detain the said Jules Marie Sandrais and forthwith to report the case to his Excellency the Governor of Hongkong or person administering the Government of Hongkong for his instructions in the premises.
